05 Feb CLANER joins the Renewable Hydrogen Committee in Andalusia
Both entities sign a collaboration agreement to promote clean energy and green hydrogen
5th February 2026.-
The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) will form part of the Renewable Hydrogen Committee in Andalusia, following the signing of a collaboration agreement that will strengthen cooperation between both entities and enable joint progress in the development of renewable energies and green hydrogen as a key vector for the energy transition in the region.
The agreement was signed by the president of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, and the president of the Renewable Hydrogen Board in Andalusia, Ignacio de Benito, within the framework of the III Green Hydrogen Congress held in Huelva. As of today, the Renewable Hydrogen Board in Andalusia becomes an associate member of CLANER, while the association representing clean energy in the community becomes part of the Board.
Under this agreement, CLANER and the Renewable Hydrogen Board in Andalusia will collaborate in the creation of joint knowledge platforms, the development of R&D&I projects, the organisation of conferences, seminars and training activities, as well as in the identification of national and international funding opportunities.
The agreement also provides for joint participation in strategic initiatives and projects related to renewable energies and green hydrogen. Both organisations will coordinate actions and jointly represent the interests of the sector.
The president of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, highlighted that this agreement ‘reinforces Andalusia’s position as a benchmark in clean energy and, in particular, in the deployment of renewable hydrogen, which is set to play a decisive role in the decarbonisation of industry and the economy’. He also stressed that ‘the collaboration between the two entities allows us to combine our capabilities, knowledge and experience to accelerate innovative projects that generate employment, competitiveness and added value for the Andalusian productive fabric.’
For his part, the president of the Renewable Hydrogen Board in Andalusia, Ignacio de Benito, confirmed that ‘the agreement will contribute significantly to the efforts undertaken by the Board to promote renewable hydrogen projects in Andalusia and thereby contribute to improving the decarbonisation and industrialisation of our companies’.
Meanwhile, still in Huelva, CLANER held its Board of Directors meeting this morning at the headquarters of the Huelva Business Federation (FOE).
