27 Mar CLANER and AEMER are strengthening their partnership to promote an increasingly efficient energy system with reduced reliance on external sources
26 March 2026 –
The organisations will promote joint initiatives in the areas of innovation, competitiveness and the energy transition
The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) and the Association of Renewable Energy Maintenance Companies (AEMER) have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen cooperation between the two organisations with the aim of working together to promote solutions that reduce generation costs, improve the operation of the electricity system, accelerate decarbonisation and consolidate the supply chain.
The agreement, signed by CLANER’s president, Alfonso Vargas, and AEMER’s president, Elisa Manero, establishes a long-term framework for collaboration based on technical and geographical complementarity, as well as joint work between the associations on future priorities and challenges to ensure the continuity of a clean and lower-cost energy supply.
In this way, both organisations will collaborate on the development of initiatives of common interest, promoting the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices, as well as strengthening their institutional visibility. They will also promote cross-participation and the co-organisation of conferences, congresses, seminars and technical events, with the aim of maximising the impact of their activities and strengthening the renewable energy sector.
The agreement also provides for collaboration on studies, reports and technical documents, as well as joint participation in working groups, reports and sectoral analysis projects. Furthermore, both organisations will coordinate their activities to strengthen their presence among public authorities and other key players in the energy and industrial sectors.
The president of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, emphasised that this agreement “responds to the need to pool capabilities and build strengths in representing the clean energy sector, in a context that is increasingly complex and demanding but, at the same time, more necessary and crucial to the energy strategy of every region and country”. In this regard, he stressed that “the collaboration between CLANER and AEMER will enable progress towards a more coordinated, innovative and competitive ecosystem, capable of responding to current challenges”.
For her part, the president of AEMER, Elisa Manero, spoke very highly of “an agreement that strengthens our collaboration with the sector in a region such as Andalusia, which is very important to our organisation, as demonstrated by the fact that this year, for the first time, we will be holding, outside Zaragoza, in the city of Seville, the International Renewable Energy Maintenance Fair EXPOFIMER 2026, which will take place on 10 and 11 June.”
Finally, the president of CLANER has invited all AEMER members, as well as other companies and organisations in the renewable energy sector, to take part in the 2026 Sustainable Horizon Awards, which aim to recognise and highlight the efforts of those leading the energy transition in Andalusia; the deadline for entries is 17 April.
