04 May Ariema, Geotermia Integral, EDP, Fundación Energía Sin Fronteras, Ignis and Lorte, awarded the CLANER Horizonte Sostenible 2026 Awards

The Renewable Energy Association of Andalusia (CLANER) has announced the award winners of the Horizonte Sostenible 2026 Awards, which the association organizes with the support of Texla Renovables, Iberdrola, Cuerva, Magtel, Ignis and Altano Energy, to recognize and make visible the efforts of companies, institutions and professionals who lead the transition towards a cleaner and more efficient energy model in Andalusia.
The jury responsible for evaluating the submitted applications, chaired by the Regional Minister for Sustainability and Environment of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Catalina García, has been composed of the honorary president of INERCO, Vicente Cortés; the deputy mayor responsible for Human Resources, Organization, Digitalization, Smart City and Innovation of the City Council of Granada, Vito Epíscopo; the president of the Spanish Association for Battery Energy Storage (AEPIBAL), Luis Marquina; the head of the Energy and Environment Area of INTA, Fernando Isorna; the delegate of REDEIA in Andalusia, Jorge Juan Jiménez; the Secretary General for Energy of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Manuel Larrasa; the Secretary General for Environment and Climate Change of the Regional Government of Andalusia, María López; the CEO of Texla, Miguel Montero; the president of the Wind Business Association, Rocío Sicre; and the president of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, with Gemma García-Pelayo, Secretary General of CLANER, acting as secretary.
The Luz de Andalucía Award, which recognizes innovative projects with significant technological advances in the generation, storage or distribution of clean energy, has been awarded “ex aequo” to the companies Ariema Enerxía, for the manufacture of electrolyzers, standing out for the combination of technical quality and maturity with a clear contribution to decarbonization, and to Geotermia Integral, for the geothermal installation in an olive oil mill in Lora del Río (Seville), valued for its direct impact and contribution to the Andalusian energy mix.
The Energía para Todos Award, aimed at initiatives that have significantly improved access to energy, promoting education in sustainability and community participation, has been granted, also jointly, to the company EDP for the project “Green Education”, which fosters the energy transition based on the transformation of society through education and equal opportunities, and to the Fundación Energías Sin Fronteras, for the project “Don Bosco Solar”, aimed at combating energy poverty and social integration through the promotion of renewable energy use and energy efficiency.
The project “Conexión a Tierra”, by the company Endesa, has received a Special Mention for its outreach and awareness-raising work among the population regarding the benefits that renewable projects bring to the territory.
For its part, the Verde Andaluz Award, aimed at companies with a special commitment to environmental sustainability, biodiversity protection and corporate social responsibility, has been awarded to the company Ignis for the project “Caparacena 400”, recognizing the originality and efforts in implementing integration measures within the natural environment and the territory.
In this category, the jury has agreed to grant a Special Mention to the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz for the project “On-shore Power Supply”, for its innovative nature and its contribution to the reduction of polluting emissions and noise elimination.
The special distinction CLANER Impulso Energético, which recognizes key individuals or legal entities in promoting renewable energies in Andalusia, has been awarded to the company Lorte (owned by the Loring family) for its long trajectory and involvement in the development of the Andalusian renewable sector.
The awards ceremony will take place on May 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Carmen de los Chapiteles, in Granada, coinciding with the celebration on those days of the CLANER annual assembly and its Sectoral Conferences, which will bring together institutions, companies and key stakeholders in clean energy in the Andalusian region.
The president of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas, has extended congratulations to the award winners of this second edition of the Horizonte Sostenible Awards while also thanking the participation of the numerous companies that have submitted projects, almost double the number of the first edition, “not only with enormous quality, but also very diverse in the solutions they provide and with a significant social and economic impact, which reflects the commitment, innovation and excellence of all, as well as their notable contribution to the development of the energy and industrial sector of Andalusia.

The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER), with more than 20 years of experience, is a group of companies, official bodies, technology and research centers, universities, and public foundations, among other agents.
Its main objectives include representing and defending the Andalusian renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, as well as promoting and encouraging research, technological development, and innovation in products, processes, and services associated with this field through collaboration and cooperation among the members of the cluster in order to strengthen the competitiveness of Andalusian companies in the clean energy sector.
