21 Oct Alfonso Vargas participates in the breakfast colloquium ‘Renewables, meeting targets and creating opportunities’

On 19 October, a breakfast-colloquium organised by Grupo Joly and Statkraft took place.

The event was attended by Alfonso Vargas, president of CLANER. In his speech he highlighted that the growth of renewable energies in Andalusia has exceeded the capacity of the infrastructures, with an increase of 34% in energy demand compared to the 5% forecast. He pointed out that the lack of adequate infrastructure is a challenge, although photovoltaics have brought down costs. He also stressed the importance of simplifying administrative procedures and the repowering of installations to boost energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
