
03 Apr CLANER announces the composition of the jury for the Sustainable Horizon Awards 2025
3 April 2025 – The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER) has announced the composition of the jury that will evaluate the nominations for the Horizonte Sostenible 2025 Awards, which aim to recognise and highlight the efforts of those leading the energy transition in Andalusia.
The awards, which are supported by Texla Renovables, are aimed at companies, institutions and professionals committed to innovation, sustainability and the development of renewable energies, as well as to a cleaner and more efficient energy model in the region.
The jury will be chaired by the Regional Minister of Sustainability and Environment of the Andalusian Regional Government, Catalina García, and will have as members the honorary president of INERCO, Vicente Cortés, the dean of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Western Andalusia, Juan Carlos Durán, the president of the Migres Foundation, Miguel Ferrer, the head of the Energy and Environment Area of INTA, Fernando Isorna, the REDEIA delegate in Andalusia, Jorge Juan Jiménez, the Secretary General for Energy of the Andalusian Regional Government, Manuel Larrasa, the Secretary General for the Environment and Climate Change of the Andalusian Regional Government, María López, the Director General of Texla, Miguel Montero, the President of the Spanish Wind Energy Association, Rocío Sicre, and the President of CLANER, Alfonso Vargas. The secretary general of CLANER, Gemma García-Pelayo, will act as secretary.
The jury will be responsible for evaluating the entries submitted in the different categories. The decision will be announced in mid-May and the awards ceremony will take place in June, coinciding with CLANER’s annual convention.
The ‘Luz de Andalucía’ Award will recognise innovative projects with significant technological advances in the generation, storage or distribution of clean energy.
The ‘Energy for All’ Award is aimed at initiatives that have significantly improved access to energy, promoting sustainability education and community participation.
The ‘Verde Andaluz’ Award is aimed at companies with a special commitment to environmental sustainability, circular economy and ecosystem conservation.
The CLANER ‘Impulso Energético’ Special Distinction will be awarded to key individuals or legal entities in the promotion of renewable energies in Andalusia.
Companies, entities and institutions in Andalusia or developing projects in Andalusia can participate, individually or in groups, in the call. Each applicant may submit a proposal that has been carried out or is being carried out and that has not previously won any other award.
Nominations must be submitted before 5 May this year via an online form, where participants must include a detailed report of the project together with complementary visual material.
With this initiative, the Andalusian Renewable Energy Association reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition and the promotion of a more sustainable model, recognising the efforts of those working for a greener future in the region.

The Andalusian Renewable Energy Association (CLANER), with more than 20 years of experience, is a group of companies, official bodies, technology and research centres, universities and public foundations, among other agents.
